Assorted Ficathons
All the prompt slates have been out for one week in fkficfest, and I hope that everyone is having fun rewatching relevant episodes and getting inspired!  I'm dwelling on flashback possibilities, myself, and think I'll watch "Love You to Death" this weekend.

Over in oldschoolfic, they're projecting a long run at their summer ficathon event.  This is the ficathon for any canceled fandom (including FK), and their timeline is: sign-ups (04/01-04/15), matches sent (04/17), deadline to default in good grace (07/10), and stories due (07/31).  (That's two months after fkficfest, so it's entirely possible to play in both.)

And not to forget, [personal profile] celli's annual Tax Fic Challenge is open through 04/15.  FK is, of course, eligible.  The game is: write a fanfiction with taxes in it -- any sort of taxes count, so imperial Roman taxes, modern Canadian taxes, anything between and beyond.

I was just wondering if I understood this correctly: Does one have to propose 3 fandoms in order to participate in this spring fication? I only read and write FK, so I suppose, giving prompts that say FK, FK and FK won't be eligible?

Yes, that's my understanding. I believe that oldschoolfic requires each of the three prompts to be in a different canceled fandom to help with matching, as it is a multi-fandom game. (However, you might ask larah33 to be absolutely sure.)

In the past when I've played oldschoolfic, I've always offered prompts in Forever Knight, Highlander and Young Blades, and then listed a few more fandoms with which I could also be matched as a writer. I've ended up writing in FK, HL and Buffy the Vampire Slayer for oldschoolfic.

I asked Larah, the moderator of oldschoolfic, and she replied that a minimum of two fandoms would be required. So you would be able to submit two FK prompts, but the third prompt would have to be for another fandom.

Thanks for clarifying this for me. I'll mull this over in my mind for some time. But I'll probably stick to lurking with this one for now.

I've seen all episodes of Buffy and Highlander, but I don't feel capable of writing those. Especially since I've only seen the dubbed version and have practically no idea how the characters sound in their original tone. This is the problem with most series that would qualify for this fication.
I've never heard of Young Blades. I don't think it aired here, or maybe under a different title that I didn't recognize.

I've once written a kind of FK/LEXX Crossover that I've never posted anywhere. So, maybe LEXX would be an option. I'll keep thinking about it.
